Two Line Elements

METOP, NOAA, SUOMI TLEs

The following TLE vectors are generated by EUMETSAT once a day in the morning (reference time between around 6:00 UTC and 7:00 UTC on the generation day or, in the case of Metop, Suomi-NPP, NOAA-20 and NOAA-21, shortly after the end of the next manoeuvre, if taking place on that same day). For Suomi-NPP, NOAA-20 and NOAA-21, additional TLE vectors are generated in the afternoon (reference time around 18:00 UTC or shortly after the end of next manoeuvre). Their validity arc spans from their reference time to 7 days in the future. Within the validity arc their accuracy is of around 600m RMS (max error around 2km); outside the validity arc the accuracy degradation is very slow, keeping similar accuracy for several weeks.

Sentinel TLEs

The following Sentinel TLE sets are updated daily based on the Sentinel-3A, 3B and 6MF TLE files generated daily at EUMETSAT. The Sentinel TLE files are composed of several TLE sets representing predictions optimized over a 6-hour interval where the validity time span of each TLE set goes from its TLE epoch till TLE epoch of next TLE set. For each of the current TLE files, we publish here the TLE sets covering the current day and the following day. In case of a planned manoeuvre, the last TLE set before the planned manoeuvre is omitted and the prediction starts shortly after the end of the planned manoeuvre with propagation of 6 hours. Note that the Sentinel TLE sets provide a bit higher accuracy than the equivalent EPS ones within their 6-hour optimized intervals but this accuracy degrades rapidly after these 6 hours so users should be advised not to use a single TLE set for example, for 1-day propagation.
